Broadband for Hosted PBX Services
For Hosted PBX services YooZoom recommends that for 4 users and above a separate voice only broadband is deployed therefore no data traffic may restrict any voice services. Hosted PBX services rely on upstream bandwidth and effectively high quality HD Voice required a 100kbs of bandwidth, therefore 1MB upstream would allow for 10 simultaneous calls, 2MB 20 simultaneous calls, 10MB 100 simultaneous calls etc.
YooZoom Broadband Portfolio for Hosted PBX :
Peered Broadband services :
YooZoom has the ability to “peer” some of the respective Broadband portfolio above directly to the hosted switch data centre. This ensures at no point does the voice traffic touch the public internet, giving a quality of service over and above standard access. YooZoom can also semi peer a connection so 90% is non public internet but does allow public internet connectivity.
In the case of an office with 2 broadband connectivity (recommended) if both broadbands have access to the public internet it gives that for added resilience. If one broadband were to fail (either voice of data) in the short term until working again the other broadband would allow still both voice and data services. (some call quality may be lost). A directly peered broadband would not allow the fail over option in which case we suggest that any data broadband has a 3G Mobile data backup connection if extra resilience is sought. (Most customers have 2 open access broadband to allow for resilience and call quality is not an issue).
